The Vale Institute of Technology Mining (ITV MI) operates on two fronts: education, and research, development and innovation (RD&I). The first aims to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in the company and in society. The second front focuses on the areas of Tribology, Navigation, Automation, Control, Robotics, Mining, and Ore Treatment.

Graduated in Law from the Federal University of Pará (2008), with a specialization in Procedural Law. He has been drafting and analyzing legal instruments in the Research and Development field since 2008, and in ITV’s Management and Projects area since 2016.

Information Technology Analyst
Information Technology Analyst at Vale Technological Institute (ITV) Mining, working strategically at the Ouro Preto/MG, Santa Luzia/MG, and Belém/PA units. Graduated in Information Systems (2018), with specializations in Privacy and Personal Data Protection and Information Security (2024).
With expertise in technological infrastructure, network security, cloud computing, and digital services, she leads IT architecture, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational continuity, applying frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
She participates in initiatives including:
Strategic planning and innovation; Research and development projects; Data center management and user support (EUC); LGPD compliance and identity control; Information security using advanced tools (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, ARC, Secure Center, Intune, among others); Cloud architecture and services (Microsoft Azure); Monitoring indicators and process improvement; IT and telephony technical support; Supplier auditing, contract and budget management; Agile methodologies (Daily Scrum).
She ensures the continuity of corporate systems through backup strategies, data recovery, and physical protection of environments, promoting reliability, security, and service stability.

Project Management Analyst R&D Specialist
With 20 years of experience in research and development, Veridiana has worked in the study of large-scale production of potential crops for biofuel production and, since 2015, in the project management area at ITV. She is currently pursuing further studies in philosophy and psychoanalysis, with a focus on organizational environments.

Graduated in Production Engineering with an MBA in Project Management from PUC Minas. Since 2015, she has worked at the Vale Institute of Technology (ITV) in research and development (R&D) project management. Since 2017, she has been responsible for managing scholarship researchers by research area, monitoring R&D projects in partnership with external institutions, and overseeing the formalization processes of these partnerships, involving Scientific, Technological and Innovation Institutions (ICTs) and universities.

Professional Masters
ITV offers a professional master’s degree through two programs: the Professional Graduate Program in Instrumentation, Control, and Automation of Mining Processes (PROFICAM), offered by ITV in partnership with the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), in Minas Gerais; and the Professional Graduate Program in Innovative Technologies in Mining (PPGTIM), through an agreement with the Federal University of South and Southeast Pará (UNIFESSPA), in Marabá/PA. By integrating theory and practice, the programs aim to prepare professionals capable of developing and applying innovative technologies in mining, with a focus on energy efficiency, operational excellence, and a positive impact on the environment and society.
