Jose Jimmy Penagos
PhD in Mechanical Engineering
Jose Jimmy Penagos holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP), and a master’s degree and undergraduate degree in the same field from the Universidad del Valle (Colombia). Since 2016, he has been a researcher at ITV MI, focusing on tribology, developing and coordinating projects on wear-resistant materials applied to mining.
He also teaches in the specialization courses in Wear, Friction, and Lubrication at ITV MI, and in the PROFICAM professional master’s degree (UFOP/ITV), contributing to the training of professionals in instrumentation and automation of mining processes.
